What to Pack for CDH Delivery
If your delivery day is approaching for your CDH baby, you are probably wondering what to pack. For the most part, the hospital will likely provide everything you need. However, it is always nice to have some of your own personal items as well. As you begin to create your list, here are some items we’ve found helpful:
Robe: You’ll want to visit your CDH baby as soon as you can and a robe is very useful.
Sing tank tops/bras: Even though you won’t be able to nurse right away, pumping is an option many moms partake in, and nursing tanks help with pumping too.
Hands-free pumping shirts/ bras: These are amazing, so you can pump and still have your hands available to use your phone, be on your computer, or have a chance to drink something.
Nursing pads: May be useful for any possible leakage that may happen, so it doesn’t ruin your clothes.
Loose pants/ shorts
Large, full-coverage underwear, preferably ones that you’re okay with throwing away (dark colors).
Thick pads: The hospital will supply you with some pads, but you’ll want more once you get discharged.
Washable period underwear or Depends: These can be more comfortable than the thick pads.
Cardigans/ light jacket: It can get cold in the hospital.
Slippers/ socks with the grippy bottoms
Hair ties
Pillow and blanket from Home
Travel size toiletries
Make-up and makeup removing wipes
Cell phone
Flip-flops to wear in the shower
Phone chargers
Things to keep you busy: Books, apps, etc. as induction can be a long process
