CDH Stories
Avery’s Story - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
Avery ended up being in the hospital for two and a half months and coming home with a G-tube and no oxygen needed. Now at almost a year old, she's G-tube free and hitting all her milestones. Her heart has developed well, and her echos have been good. It's amazing how strong these babies really are. Even though it's hard, it really is true when people say not to lose hope.
Deepti’s Story - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
Deepti is about to turn 3. She has overcome all her milestones and is now a G-tube graduate! Her latest X-rays revealed that the Gore-Tex patch is stable and shows no signs of reherniation. We are so proud of how she is overachieving in her motor skills and communicates like an adult. She is about to start school and is the happiest little toddler who loves chicken fries, Blippi, and the outdoors.
Emerie's Story - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
Today, Emmie is a completely perfect and healthy (almost) 7-year-old! She loves homeschooling, her big sister, and playing with her friends and family. She is an incredible little builder and delights in showing off her newest creations — from Lego structures to elaborate forts. Our life truly is one “after CDH” and not “with CDH.”
Jameson's Story - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)
Jameson only needed a feeding tube for a week at home and has since continued to blow many doctors away with his amazing progress! He will soon be celebrating his 2nd birthday. Jameson has been and continues to be the light of our lives.
